Several drivers were there to relive the action, among them Toyota Gazoo Racing driverSébastien Buemi, who shared the outright win with teammates Fernando Alonso and Kazuki Nakajima. The Signatech Alpine Matmut crew – Nicolas Lapierre, Pierre Thiriet and André Negrao – were also keen to see the highlights of their LMP2 victory. Graff-SO24 drivers Tristan Gommendy, Vincent Capillaire and Jonathan Hirschi were there to celebrate their second place in LMP2. LMGTE Am class winner Dempsey-Proton Racing was represented by driverJulien Andlauer.
Such a gathering provided the ideal opportunity to pay tribute to the many race marshals who volunteer their services year after year and who contribute to the success of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The many fans in the packed cinema were delighted to be able to congratulate their heroes in person and the stars of the evening were happy to pose for photos and sign autographs. The evening ended with a surprise revelation - the promotional poster for the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans!
