What the French traditionally refer to it as “Pesage” (Weigh-in), Scrutineering for the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans will be held in the city’s main square, Place de la République, on 9 and 10 June, from 14:00 on Sunday and 09:30 on Monday. 

The first major milestone of the 24 Hours race week, Scrutineering is tremendously popular with the public who turn out in droves to admire the machines and their drivers. 

In 2019, 62 cars and 186 drivers will be subjected to these mandatory checks. All eight LMP1s, 20 LMP2s, 17 LMGTE Pros and 17 LMGTE Ams will head into the city on Sunday afternoon or Monday before taking to the track on Wednesday for the first official practice sessions of the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Before then, however, Test Day – 2 June 2019 – is a “refresher” session for drivers to come to terms once again with the iconic 13.626-km circuit. Rookies must complete a minimum of ten laps during the day.
