Le Mans Classic 2016 has enjoyed superb racing, a warm, festive atmosphere and splendid weather: all the ingredients required to make this 2016 edition a worldwide success. The biennial event is now an essential date in the diary of every fan of vintage racing cars.
Since the gates opened at 9.00 on Friday morning (new for 2016), 123,000 spectators flooded to the Le Mans 24 Hours circuit over the three days... 13,000 more than in 2014.
This outstanding success is further evidence of the excellence of the joint organisation of the event by Peter Auto and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest.
Sportscars will now be giving way to motorcycles at the Le Mans 24 Hours circuit. In two weeks’ time (23–24 July), the Bugatti Circuit will be hosting the fifth round of the 2016 Promosport French Motorcycling Cups.
The ninth edition of Le Mans Classic will be held in 2018.
