Preparations are already under way at the 24 Hours of Le Mans museum to celebrate the centenary of the world’s greatest endurance race. The Automobile Club de l’Ouest is calling for fans to dig out documents and souvenirs of the Le Mans of yesteryear with a project named Memories-Souvenirs 24.
In 2023, the 24 Hours of Le Mans turns 100. Such an anniversary calls for celebration, with an event to match the greatness of the race itself!
The special milestone will be commemorated in several ways and everyone will be included, from competitors to race-goers and viewers.
Motorsport is for everyone and Memories-Souvenirs 24 looks to take in all aspects of the race and its far-reaching impact, by bringing together personal souvenirs to create a rich tapestry of collective memory. We are looking for photographs and documents illustrating any moment in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Anyone willing to share their memorabilia should contact the Automobile Club de l’Ouest using the project email: memories24@lemans.org.
We look forward to discovering your treasures!
