As the “Official Tailor of the 24 Hours of Le Mans”, Cifonelli will enjoy huge exposure at the world’s most iconic endurance race.
This exclusive three-year partnership will cover the races from 2022 to 2024. Cifonelli will therefore feature at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans on 11-12 June and will be part of the centenary celebrations in 2023.
For the ACO, the agreement means a stylish ready-to-wear range designed by the Italian fashion house, drawing on strong family heritage and values handed down the generations since 1880. The two partners share common values, such as excellence, sophistication and respect for tradition.
Stéphane Andriolo, Automobile Club de l’Ouest Director of Clients and Events: The 24 Hours of Le Mans has always been about tradition and the partnership with Cifonelli thus came about quite naturally. We are delighted to add this prestigious brand to our list of partners as we enter a new golden age for endurance racing. We’re looking forward to 11 June and the chance to showcase our partnership.
Massimo Cifonelli: My cousin and I both have a love of cars and were immediately won over by the idea of this partnership. We are equally committed to excellence: for both the tailor and the racing driver, precision and detail are key. With our capsule collection inspired by the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans, we are endeavouring to bring our own discreet touch of elegance to the garments worn by the greatest drivers and fans of this extraordinary sport.
About Cifonelli
“Contemporary Bespoke since 1880”
The history of bespoke house Cifonelli began in 1880 when it was founded in Rome. In 1926, the company opened a workshop in Paris where Massimo and Lorenzo, the fourth generation of the Cifonelli family, still welcome clients today. Driven by their youth, enthusiasm and expertise, they perpetuate the family tradition and ambition. A desire for perfection and respect for tradition combining the structure and comfort of British tailoring, “haute couture” detail and finish, and Latin creativity and charm.
A bespoke creation is the outcome of a trusting relationship between a gentleman and his tailor, of close collaboration between the designer and the wearer to create a unique garment, akin to a work of art, reflecting the House values of quality, craftsmanship and innovation. Massimo and Lorenzo Cifonelli constantly innovate, forever striving to push the boundaries of their craft. They explore new techniques and seek out new textiles and materials while cultivating the know-how handed down over the past 140 years.
Alongside its Bespoke service, the House now offers a ready-to-wear range available at its outlets in Paris and London.
A capsule collection celebrating the 24 Hours of Le Mans partnership will be unveiled in April 2022.
