24h Le Mans

17/06/18

A 256,900-strong crowd at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans

A total of 256,900 spectators came to watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans, second round in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The weather was fine, in the end. The line-up was impressive, with Formula One and American sportscar stars joining the endurance fray. The starter was an illustrious sportsman, Rafael Nadal, the Grand Marshal Jacky Ickx, the original Mr Le Mans, and the guest of honour, Michael Fassbender a world-class actor. The concert billing was superb and the other trackside entertainment equally as exciting, with Jamiroquai, Texas, Arcadian and Dr Feelgood on stage. No surprise then to see 256,900 fans flock to the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans.

Thank you for your support and for making these 24 hours what they are: the world’s greatest endurance race.  See you on 15 and 16 June 2019 for the grand finale of the WEC Super Season 2018-19.

The next round in the FIA World Endurance Championship is at Silverstone (UK) on 19 August.
