The Automobile Club de l’Ouest and RTL2, the official 24-Heures Motos radio, are innovating for the 40th anniversary of the event with two concert evenings for the first time ever!   

Pop Rock novelty will light up Friday with the final of Tremplin RTL2. This big competition will begin on 20 February, and its aim is to find two groups and/or artists who will play on the 24 Heures Motos stage, which will be installed in the heart of the village opposite the Restaurant de la Courbe, on Friday evening. This new concert evening will kick off at 22:30 just after the Stunt/Acrobatics Show.  

The principle of Tremplin RTL2 is very simple: 

• Participants must send in a video presenting their group and an audio tape of their best three original songs before 7th March to the following address: Lemans@RTL2.fr .  
• The videos will be posted on the RTL2 Le Mans Facebook page. The public will elect the four semi-finalists thanks to the number of likes received for their videos.  
• They will then perform in front of a jury that will designate the two finalists of Tremplin RTL2.
• The lucky winners will play on the 24-Heures Motos stage on Friday evening 20th April. 

A wild Rock ‘n Roll evening in perspective on Saturday! 
To give the 40th anniversary of the 24 Heures Motos the celebration it deserves Welshman Chris Slade, drummer of the AC/DC group, will come to inflame the whole of the inside of the Bugatti circuit with the five musicians of his group, The Chris Slade Timeline. 
Slade began his career in 1963 with his friend, Tom Jones, and then racked up golden discs with Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, Uriah Heep, Gary Numan, The Firm, Jimmy Page and Gary Moore. He joined AC/DC in 1989 and played in the legendary album The Razor’s Edge that was released in 1990. In 1994 he left AC/DC for the Group Asia and made his comeback in 2015. Together with the five musicians in his group, The Chris Slade Timeline, he puts on a show retracing his career.

The first part of The Chris Slade Timeline concert will be announced in the near future, and DJ Loran will keep the show going until late into the night. The RTL2 Pop-Rock Party DJ, who’s a regular performer at the circuit, will get behind the turntables and create a resounding musical ambience. His inimitable style and his Pop-Rock, Hip-Hop and Electro influences will keep the mood at fever pitch till the small hours!
