Le Mans 24 Hours 2017 – Media Accreditations (except TV)

We would like to thank you for the interest you’ve shown in giving media coverage to the 24 HEURES DU MANS.

All accreditations requests must be made on line.

Requests can be made between now and May 15.

No requests will be taken into account after this date.
Requests sent by email or made on the spot will not be accepted.

Requests will only be accepted and processed after they have been completed and registered by the online application process.

Only individualpersonalised requests will be taken into account.

To make an accreditation request the chief editor or agency chief must fill out the online request form. If you are an independent journalist or photographer you must have a brief from a recognised media.

Concerning this request the media in question must supply a mission brief for each person to be accredited on headed paper providing a description of the activity, the name of the journalist/photographer assigned to cover the event and information concerning the audience of the media in question.

If you are asking for an accreditation for several people, please attach a mission brief which lists each individual on a general document. Please attach this brief to each request which must be individual and personalised.

If you covered the 24 HEURES DU MANS 2016 or another event in the FIA World Endurance Championship, please send us the documents to be taken into account when your request is being assessed.

If it’s your first request please attach your recent articles published in a recognised media.

For each person the accreditation request must include:

  • The completed form
  • A mission brief
  • A copy of a valid press card
  • Proof of previous missions
  • For photographers, professional civil insurance to cover mass events.

For representatives of internet sites, please attach the 2016 Google Analytics statistics in addition to the documents requested.

Attention photographers:
Because of the large number of requests we can give accreditations to professional photographers only. The allocation of a tabard giving access to the pit lane and/or safety roads (track) is not automatic and is at the discretion of the press service.

To obtain a tabard, photographers must attend at least one of the briefings.
They must wear a helmet and protective clothing complying with the FIA 8856 – 2000 standards in the pit lane.

Scooter passes giving access to the safety roads are very limited and are also given at the discretion of the press service. You cannot put in a request.
Shuttles reserved for photographers with a tabard will be in operation during practice and the race.

Attention: this online request is not a confirmation of the accreditation.
An automatic email will be sent to the address given at the end of the registration process to confirm reception of your request and to tell you it will be processed as quickly as possible.

Incomplete requests will not be taken into consideration.
Please pay attention when registering before you validate your request. Your registration cannot be modified.

FIA WEC permanent passes:
FIA WEC permanent passes are not valid during the 24 HEURES DU MANS
. However, Medias are asked to follow the same procedure and add permanent pass WEC 2017 at the bottom of the form in ‘comments.’
Tabards will be handed out to the photographers after they have attended the obligatory briefing. This includes those who are permanent FIA WEC photographers.

Accreditations and tabards will be valid for the Test Day and for the 24 HEURES DU MANS WEEK.
No document or tabard can be replaced in the case of loss.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and we hope to see you soon at the 24 HEURES DU MANS as well as on all the Le Mans circuits.
